Henry Feldhaus III returned to elected office in 2012 as councilman after serving as a councilmember from 1981 to 1987 followed by two terms as Mayor from 1987 to 1995. He has served Shelbyville continuously for over 45 years in several elected positions and on virtually every board and committee associated with Shelbyville government since his initial appointment to the Airport Authority in February 1978. He graduated from The University of Tennessee in Business Administration majoring in Industrial Management in 1976. He later received his Master’s degree (MBA) from Middle Tennessee State University in 1999, graduating first in his class and was inducted into the coveted Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. He is the eldest of six children of the late Mary Jo Feldhaus and the late Dr. Henry Feldhaus. He is married to Jenni, who is a CPA and certified financial planner. They currently own and operate Feldhaus Investor Services where they are SEC licensed financial analysts and stockbrokers. Henry and Jenni have 3 children: Dr. Jennifer Feldhaus, MD; Dr. LauraAnne Feldhaus Stewart, DPT, and Henry Feldhaus, IV who works at Jack Daniels with his master’s degree in Distillation, and 3 grandchildren. Henry is a past president of the Shelbyville Rotary Club. He wants to see Shelbyville prosper through strong Economic Development partnerships by promoting existing and new businesses; especially, through development of the downtown riverfront district. He wants to expand adult education/training by supporting workforce development while improving government efficiency and continuing to make Shelbyville a friendly and inviting city for new and existing citizens.

Marilyn Ewing was born in Fort Campbell, Ky to Ruby Ewing and the late Eugene Ewing, Sr. She moved to Shelbyville at an early age. A 1981 Shelbyville Central High School graduate, Marilyn also attended Motlow State Community College and Middle Tennessee State University. A broadcaster since 1986, Marilyn also has a passion for radio with shows such as “Let’s Do Lunch” and “Marilyn In The Morning”. In 1997 she launched a television show called “Marilyn & Company”. Marilyn was a graduate of the 1994-95 Leadership Bedford Class, and has also served as a trustee for the Argie Cooper Public Library from 2008 through 2014. “I have one beautiful daughter and three very talented brothers. My mom is my world and the strongest link imaginable. I am honored to join the council with a voice and vision dedicated especially to those of Ward 2, and for Shelbyville as a whole, reaching for the betterment of all that live and work here as well as our guests and tourists.

Betsy Noel is a life-long resident with deep roots in Shelbyville. The daughter of the late Jim and Joann Warren, Betsy and her husband, Phillip, have raised their 2 daughters, Chandler and Ainsley, in Ward 3 for over 22 years. She attended Eakin Elementary, Harris Middle School and is an Alumni of SCHS. She has her Associate’s degree from Jackson State Community College, her Bachelor’s degree from MTSU and her MBA from David Lipscomb University. Betsy is a Registered Nurse and currently serves as a Clinical Liaison for Middle Tennessee Pharmacy Services, working in business development covering Middle Tennessee and the Chattanooga area. Additionally, she continues to work PRN as an Emergency Room Nurse for Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital. Betsy’s extensive management experience and nursing background in a critical setting have equipped her with a diverse skillset that seamlessly adapts to the ever-changing landscape of public office. Betsy adamantly supports UNITY between the City and the County, as well as Smart Growth. “I am dedicated to engaging with residents, fostering collaboration, and working tirelessly to enhance the City of Shelbyville for ALL residents.”

William Christie is a lifelong resident of Shelbyville. He was elected to represent the fourth ward in November of 2014. William was a new car sales manager for various car dealerships in Middle Tennessee for 25 years. He attended Shelbyville Central High School and Middle Tennessee State University. William served as President of his Junior class at MTSU. William coached high school basketball and baseball. He also served as President of Shelbyville Youth Football League. “I have retired from the 9 to 5 grind. I am devoting my efforts to improving the City by striving to add industry and more good paying jobs to our community. I am on the Joint Economic Advisory Committee, and we are committed to bringing industry to Shelbyville and Bedford County.

Josh Blevins moved to Shelbyville from Nashville in 2021 to escape the growing congestion. A dual citizen of the US and Canada, he has lived and traveled across much of North America, from Alaska to southern Mexico. He has worked in the printing industry for over 30 years, more than half of those as a small business owner. In addition to his day job, he also covers local news and politics for Shelbyville NOW and has served as Secretary of the Bedford County Republican Party. Josh supports fiscal responsibility, public safety, strategic planning, infrastructure improvement and government transparency. “I am humbled by the faith my neighbors in Ward 5 have placed in me and look forward to working to make Shelbyville an even better place to live, work and raise a family.”

Bobby Turnbow was born in Hohenwald/Lewis County, TN and moved to Shelbyville at a young age. Bobby has lived in Southside Ward 6 for over 60 years. He attended Southside School, Madison Street Junior High, and Shelbyville Central High School. He also studied at Martin Methodist College in Pulaski and Motlow State Community College. His working career consisted of two jobs. He was a Journeyman Lineman with Duck River Electric Membership Corporation in Shelbyville for 17 years, and a Safety Instructor for Tennessee Job Training Safety Program for 28 years. Bobby retired in 2014. He is married to Ann Threet Turnbow. They have two sons, Whit and Kyle, and four grandchildren, Reagan, Connor, Hannah, and Hudson. Bobby now has time to devote to family and citizens of Shelbyville. “I am looking forward to making Shelbyville a better place for all citizens.”
